Brady gave him a laptop pillow and a golf shirt to thank him for being such a great dad. You never really know what kind of father your husband will be until you see him in action. Thankfully, Cory has proven himself in all stages of Brady's life. As a newborn, Brady was comforted by his father who was much more confident with such a squirmy little thing than I was. Cory taught him how to jump, spin, blow out his birthday candle, etc. And now that Brady's a toddler, he's all about the sports.
He plays football (you should hear the string of plays he calls in a husky little voice before hiking the ball), basketball, baseball, and soccer. He's into hockey and now golf, and he's quite the little swimmer. His grandpa thinks we should sign him up for a soccer team now, and that he'd show up all the 4- to 6-year-olds on his team. Maybe next year when he's 3. Thanks to Cory, Brady is turning into a well-rounded and likeable little kid. His dad has already rubbed off on him a lot.
By the way, today marks one year that we've lived in Rocklin. In some ways it definitely seems that long because we're so comfortable here, but in others it's gone by really fast. This was the first time since we moved that we were able to make it to Fresno for the weekend. We got to go with Cory's youngest brother Devan to the temple for his first time. It was a great experience, and I sat there next to my mother-in-law thinking about how blessed I am to have married into such a great family.
Afterward we went out for lunch and then swimming at Cory's sister's place. That evening we ate hamburgers and played Psychiatrist (which is always fun when Cory's playing). It was also nice to get to celebrate Father's Day with Cory's dad, although we had to cut it short to drive home. We have lots of plans with Cory's family this summer, and it's so great to get away for the weekend now that Cory has Saturdays off.

That's so great you made it down to Fresno! It sounds like you had a great trip. I think Cory's a great dad also, I can't wait to see him with his baby daughter!
That little boy is growing up so fast! And I can't believe his hair is still that blond, what a sweet heart! Are you feeling ok with the pregnancy??
