Brooke dressed for the holiday, thankful for her mommy
We got to spend Thanksgiving with part of my family this year, a first in six years. Terra's family came out and stayed with Becca's family. We joined them for Thanksgiving dinner.
First photo of all seven Christensen grandchildren
I debated taking a picture of my dinner plate, but then I realized it looked about the very same as last year. We Christensen girls all like the same things for Thanksgiving dinner.
The guys went to a Broncos game later that night. We entertained our kids by watching them dance, playing Simon Says, and putting them to bed with a chain story. Riley and Cole were in Riley's bunk beds and Becca made Brady a bed on the floor. The three of them were up talking until 10:30. As Terra and I wondered if we should break it up, we decided it was a rare occasion for them and they were making memories. As they made their memories, the three of us stayed up way too late sharing our memories. It was nice to spend time with them.
Becca has the Christmas train we had as kids. Nick was about Brady's age when the train first came to our home. That was when our dad started his collection. These kids were delighted to watch the train go around the tree. Brady is in the peak of his train fixation and could have watched it for at least 10 minutes, if allowed, without getting bored.
There was no Black Friday madness for us this year. Cory had to work Friday, so he and the guys slept at our apartment after the game. Cory went to work and Shane and Scot headed back. I stayed at Becca's with the kids and got home just five minutes before he did. The cherry on top for our weekend was BYU beating Utah in overtime.
