Apple Hill

There is a place called Apple Hill just east of Placerville, on the way to Lake Tahoe. We took a picnic lunch last week and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.

You can buy all things apple like pies, candied apples, apple turnovers, etc. The pond above had lots of fish that were jumping out of the water and showing off, which really made Brady giggle. There were all sorts of booths selling things that you would find at a fair. There were lots of wood-carved items, which was fitting considering we were in the hills of Northern California.

Of course we each got a treat at the fudge factory there. How could we pass that up?

Mmmm, fudge. I was just saying to Scot the other day that we need to plan a trip to Nauvoo. He's never been, and I miss the fudge that Grandma and Grandpa used to send.
