Our Fourth

We started our holiday weekend Friday afternoon when we headed back to get another peek at our newest nephew. We met Cory's parents there, who had come up from Fresno. Then we came back and ate a delicious hamburger dinner with sweet corn on the cob, pasta salad and this festive berry cheese torte.

After dinner we forced our annual DVD on Cory's parents. 2008 must have been a big year because I couldn't keep the DVD under 80 minutes. Sherry seems to enjoy them, but I have a strong suspicion that Jerry was relieved to see Brady's birthday, which is always the final event of the year.

Baby Austin was the one who drew the visitors in, but we got the pleasure of entertaining them. Saturday Cory's brother, two sisters and their families all came up from Fresno as well. They made it to our place for lunch and then we went swimming. It may have been our group, but the pool was surprisingly not crowded being a holiday.

We got enough sun and headed inside for some Rock Band.
Joel thought he was Bon Jovi and Jennifer sounded like Pink on the mic. Ethan "helped" Santiago on the drums and somehow Isaiah was able to sleep through it all.

We had a great time with Cory's family, and it was nice to see them all without having to make the trip.

It looks so fun and festive! I love the picture of Isaiah asleep during rockband. We played the other night at David's sister and Natalie was lulled right to sleep on someone's lap while they were singing! sidenote: from what I can tell you swimsuit looks great. :)
