Colin is 3 and apparently I can't get enough pictures of him, as you will see. He is adorable!
We got to go as a family to Rock Creek Farm this year where there are bounce houses, a petting zoo, a little maze of hay bales, and plenty of pumpkins. The kids had fun attempting to feed the goats grass. It took a lot of courage, but I think they were all successful to some degree.
Brooke's mommy instincts kicked in as soon as she met Jocelyn. I guess she decided since she was doing everything else for Jocelyn (including changing wet diapers without ever being asked), she wanted to take part in the feeding process as well. He baby doll had to suffice.
The weather was so nice through mid-October and I loved seeing Colin enjoy playing in the backyard.
Pure cuteness right here.
Brady enjoys sports. He is very coordinated and athletic. He plays many sports year round, but soccer is the one he is best at. He is so fast that he often beats opponents to the ball.
This year he moved up to a bigger field with bigger goals, and now there are 9 players on the field. He prefers to play forward, but he's good at playing goalie as well. He is working on his technique more this season. Susie Ortiz has been his coach for three seasons now and we keep requesting her because 1- she knows what she's talking about, and 2- she doesn't take crap from the kids. Other kids request her as well, so Brady is playing with a lot of the same teammates each season.
These three love their post-lunch play time after Brooke gets home from school and before Colin's nap. It makes me laugh how different their face shapes are.
Early in the month we moved Jocelyn into her bedroom and Colin into Brady's room. He is so excited to have a big boy bed!
The Rearys came to town mid-month. We had been looking forward to their visit for a long time and it didn't disappoint. They played outside Saturday and then came with us to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat activity. We filled the bench on Sunday and these two little rascals were decently quiet.
Everyone has a buddy. Brady has more in common with Cole, but Caleb doesn't seem to mind. He was happy to love on Jocelyn as long as she would let him.
These two came into the kitchen to eat popcorn Sunday night where I found them like this watching AFV.
Then the wrestling matches began. First Cole and Caleb went at it and Brady took mental notes. Then Brady decided he'd rather stay out of the ring and gave Brooke a chance. Cole was gentle and got Brooke thinking wrestling 10-year-old boys is something she'd like to pursue.
Then the little boys wanted a turn. Ha! They basically bounced around the room giggling and punching at each other until they were both in tears. It was quite entertaining and too hard not to laugh. They are just as sensitive as their older brothers.
Last set of this little cutie, for now.
Brady is a sweet brother. When Colin gets a new library book Brady happily reads it to him. And it's usually Brady who reads Colin his bedtime stories now. There's one benefit of them sharing a room.
