The Last 3 Months: January

We flew home from Utah on Brady's birthday, so we made it up to him the rest of the week.  On New Year's Day we went to see Frozen and a late lunch at Brady's favorite restaurant, Golden Corral.  (Did you know they have a milk chocolate fountain, a white chocolate fountain, a caramel fountain AND cotton candy?  You can see the draw for a 7-year-old.)
Jan. 2 we met friends at McDonald's and celebrated with cupcakes.  Finally, on Jan. 4 we took him to Target and found a Lego set for his birthday present.  I was surprised we got away with not giving him a birthday present that long.  Kind of makes me wonder if we can avoid buying one all together next year.  Ha!
Colin turned 16 months and was getting more independent.  I believe that's when he started climbing onto the kitchen table.
These two told the babysitter they were best friends.  I'm guessing that's how Brady convinced her to let him sleep in Brooke's room on a Saturday night.  At least they weren't fighting with the babysitter here.  That's something.  They really can be very sweet to each other though.
First time using the new popcorn maker.  They were a little nervous at first.
Brady has such a sweet primary teacher this year.  Sister Bergman practically famous, at least in our ward, for her extensive preparation and materials she brings to class.  This first Sunday of the new year she made CTR symbol-shaped sugar cookies with their names on them.
Colin was really into reading books there for a couple months.  He's moved on to Hot Wheels now, but he'll still pick up a book every now and then.
Nutella and banana: Colin's sandwich of choice.
