We weren't going for a theme this year, but I guess they are all loosely related: Batman, Catwoman, and the Penguin.
We have used this costume for all our babies, but Colin was the first penguin who could walk. He had the perfect waddle.

We hosted Cory's brother Devan and his wife Brooke for Thanksgiving this year. It gets a little confusing having two Brooke Higginbothams in one house. I told "Aunt Brooke" that if she hears her name spoken sternly than I'm not talking to her. My Brooke became a big fan of her new aunt (they were just married in August) when she stayed at our house one night the end of June. She has adored her ever since.
It didn't hurt that she brought her a princess puzzle and put it together with her.
Devan was Brady's hero bringing him this Super Hero Lego set. Not only did Brady get a present, he also got Devan's full attention and help building it. An adult's full attention...not something he gets very often these days.
We ate lunch and walked down 16th Street Mall in Denver Wednesday.
We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Golden Corral. It was a good meal, and even better that we didn't have a pile of dishes to do after we stuffed ourselves.
Cory worked Friday, but the rest of us headed to Flat Irons Mall for more shopping. I stood in line at Old Navy for 30 minutes trying to keep Colin from grabbing and knocking over all the little trinkets on both sides of him. The stroller could only contain the crazy so much. We headed straight to the airport from the mall. We had a great time with these guys. The kids soaked up as much attention as they could. It's as if they realized that Devan and Brooke are the last aunt and uncle who don't have their own kids yet.
Now we are all decorated for Christmas.
We always stay home for Christmas now that Cory has Care Day on December 24th. We would prefer to do our own thing on Christmas morning anyway, so it works out well.
The tree goes in the living room when there is a one-year-old in the house. We keep the French doors closed to keep out Trouble. Now this little display is another story. He's had a lot of fun with that purple Christmas tree.
