Hawaii, Part 2

Friday morning we took our breakfast and swim stuff and headed to the heliport for a helicopter ride.  The scenery was breathtaking!  It was so cool to be flying above untouched valleys and past the tallest sea cliffs in the world on the island of Molokai.  Also, we saw lots of waterfalls in valleys that aren’t ever seen from the ground.  Here are a few shots we took and some video.

Notice the rainbow.
Around 10am we headed to Honolua Bay.  We walked through the jungle to get to the bay where Cory snorkeled.
At noon we picked up lunch at Maui Tacos and headed to Ka’anapali Beach.  We were there for a couple hours where we ate lunch, laid in the sun and snorkeled a bit.  At 2:30 I went to the car to change and get ready for the dinner cruise we had scheduled for that evening.  We did a little shopping and waited for the boat.  The dinner cruise at Whaler’s Village was at 4:00 with an open bar but no pina coladas.
We saw quite a few whales and ate a nice dinner of rosemary chicken, ratatouille, Caesar salad, cilantro rice, and garlic bread.
I'm proud of my postcard-worthy sunset shot.  Gorgeous!
We left Lahaina and headed south to the hotel arriving at 7:30.  We showered and were ready for bed by 8:30.  This vacation is a 3-part series, so check back soon.
