California Trip

Cory's brother Devan recently returned from his mission in Guatemala. We took a trip to central California to celebrate his return. Cory's family reserved a cabin near Shaver Lake where we stayed for a couple nights. I've never had motion sickness before, but riding up and back down the mountain was really miserable this time.
There was a nice sandy area where we played and waited for our turn on the Wave Runner. This was Brooke's first chance to play in the sand, and she was happy to do just that all day.
Brady was very nervous on the Wave Runner last summer at Bear Lake, but he loved it this time. In fact, he was always disappointed when his turn was over, and he whooped and hollered as he flew across the lake. (That's Devan behind Brady.)
Cory's sister Jennifer had t-shirts printed for family pictures. Here are all the kids in order of age.
She also made matching hair bows for the girls. The girls are clearly outnumbered in this family, but Ashley and Santiago will be adding their own in about six weeks.
Here are the 4 kids who were born in 2007, or a day before, just 7 months apart.
Here are the 4 toddlers who were all born just 4 months apart in 2009.
After the pictures Jennifer got the kids started on a nature scavenger hunt, which Brady really enjoyed.
On Sunday, after his homecoming talk in church, we all gathered at the nearby park for more pictures.
Devan starts school at BYU in a couple weeks, so hopefully we'll see him again soon.

Cute cute pictures, looks like you had a good time. I hope you were feeling ok, you probably wore yourself out! I can't believe how many kids there are!

Thanks for posting about your vacation. Looks like you all had a great time, especially the kids with so many close cousins.
